I had a few questions. Where did you get the stewart screen from? Could you post a breakdown of all the costs of upgrading your Home theater? I look forward to seeing your reply!
Please don’t. I’m 57 and it’s taken us many years to live our dream, as you say. If you want to have a theater, start on a smaller scale and upgrade your equipment as your budget permits. All you need is a spare room and if you can do a lot of the work as I did, you can have a nice setup. Ebay is a great source - I got my screen and cables there. You don’t need fancy furniture. Just something comfortable. If you can’t do it now, plan and save for it!
Just wanted you to know that your contemporary, cozy, stunningly simple yet gorgeous design has inspired me. I am a big fan of ikea and their contemporary furniture. Couple that with my passion for Home theaters and your video is what you get.
Fabulous Fabulous FABULOUS job! I love the little office space in the back, the DIY Snack bar, everything goes well together. Bravo!
Who wants to look at picture frames more than twice??. to make it perfect, Loose the framed screen, loose the picture frames, Paint wall in Matt white, and have a 200 inch real home theater screen, one Your friends will go WOW too.
The room looks good if your trying to show everyone that you have the typical home theater room concept of design, which is marketed to the general public. BUT, if you really think about it, You have a projector !!, You have a wall in front of you, You could have had a screen twice the size, all you would have had to do is paint the wall in Matt Artic white paint and start your screen from the ceiling height down, You would have ended up with a True Large screen experience,
Bat cave - LOL! Thanks for your suggestion! I had the lights on to show off the room for the video, but normally we don’t watch with lights on. There is some ambient daylight that comes through the slats of the shutters, but the Stewart Firehawk screen does a great job in that situation. My husband actually prefers that to the bat cave effect when we watch daytime sports. It was the main trade-off for doing a “family room” rather than a dedicated theater.
very nice…. I see you like to use your projector with some ambient light and even though the image looks watchable I would recommend you invest on a Screen Innovations Black Diamond Screen….search it here on youtube or google the screen helps by only reflecting light projected directly from the projector and not the rooms light. It’s an option if you truly wish to use this projector without turning the room into a bat cave.
Thanks! The music is actually a DIY creating by me using Apple’s GarageBand, so YT won’t yank my audio. I wish all of the music companies allow use of their tracks and ID/credit them with include online links (Amazon, iTunes) for purchasing them. A few do offer that option and I think it’s a great service to the YT viewers. But that would make too much sense!
