I've used and owned several speakers before. They include: Creative Labs Inspire t5400, Creative Labs Inspire T2900, Bose Companion 2 Series II multimedia speaker system, and the Creative t3200. So this shows i have some experience with different speakers. When i first bought the creative t3200, i was so disappointed i returned that crap right away. The sub woofer sucked because it is weak and makes distortion wayy before it even sounds loud. It is not worth 80$, junk. The creative t6200 is a whole different story. Compare to the rest of the speakers i've used so far, this one is the best. The subwoofer is a lot more powerful and sounds cleaner at higher volume. It is that warm bass that you hear when you go to coffee shop which i absolutely love. The satellite speakers themselves are very impressive. They were not kidding when they said it was build for mid, highs, and LOUDNESS. Using Creative X-Fi 5.1 USB sound card at 50% volume, my other speakers (im sure yours too) at max power(100%) makes a lot of distortion. The t6200 at max volume (100% volume on speaker, 50% on USB soundcard) is still crystal clear. That is very impressive. I tried pushing limits on this system. With 75% volume on the computer, and 100% volume on the speaker. That is when it starts to make a little distortion, not a lot. I like these speakers a lot so I won't try to blow them at 100% LOL. If your speaker can not handle even 50% volume on X-FI sound card, while 100% on speaker control, then consider yourself where t6200 truly stand in terms of performance and quality.

I ordered the Inspire 6200's to replace my old Cambridge Soundworks 4.1 speakers that were really good in their day but getting outdated.
The first time I played a movie on the 6200's it blew me away compared to what I had been listening to. The sound was so realistic as if you were right there in the room with the actors. And they have power to spare. I have yet to crank them up all the way but have had them "loud" with no distortion !!!! You "feel" the sub just like my theatre room surround system. I also like the style and look of the speakers. Music is fantastic on these as well. Highs are clean and crisp and lows are booming.
The only drawback is that both rear satellites wires are somewhat short if you wanted to "spread" them out a bit but that I felt was a minor issue.
I think you will love the sound these baby's put out in any environment.

I recently replaced my aged Dell Dimension 4100 desktop PC with an Acer 18.4" Laptop and wanted to upgrade my old 4.1 surround system as well. I was looking for something that wouldn't take up too much desktop space and, since I've always liked Creative Labs products, decided to give this system a go. I'm using this system in conjunction with the Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 USB sound card and installation and setup was a snap. I especially like the stacking option for the satellite speakers as this saves even more desktop space. Once setup was complete, I popped my "Transformers" DVD into my laptop's DVD drive and...WOW! Bullets wizzing by, explosions reverberating from the subwoofer...it was impressive. Granted, this system is only rated at 70 watts total power, but that's really all I need for the small room where my system is set up. So far I'm very pleased with this product. Some reviewers of the Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 USB sound card complain of lag time when using it on a Windows Vista 64 bit system but I have experienced no such problems with mine. The Creative Labs Inspire T6200 5.1 Multimedia Speaker System when used in conjunction with the Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 USB sound card is the perfect laptop 5.1 surround solution.

I just brought this on Jan, 09. I would expert more from this since cost a lot more, power is lower compare to logitech G51 155watt. Sound sometime weird to my soundcard set upset. But I kept it anyway.
